Indonesia Day 5 - Ride to White Crater

0730 - Having breakfast at a local famous chicken porridge restaurant. First time try the porridge which is quite nice.

0800 - Checked out and move to Venice Guesthouse

0930 - Departed to White crater. The traffic in the town is quite congested but it's so smooth when riding at rural area. At Soraeng small town, there are horse carts used as transportation. After this small town, the view along the road is paddy field. The road become more steeper as that crater is on the mountain.

1200 - Stop at Saung Gawir Restaurant as here provide very nice paddy field view while having the meal. 

1300 - Continued the journey and reached the Kawah Putih (White Crater) Entrance after 30 minutes. Motorbike cannot go up to the top and it need to park (IDR 2k). We have to sit the special Angkut to go up. Adult entrance fee and the transport is IDR 65k/person.

1400 - Reached the top and I saw a lot motorbike parking here. Maybe they special permission to enter. The crater is very huge. There was a lot of local people. There is a bridge that you can walk to the center of the crater. This bridge is made with stone and surrounded by yellow sulfur liquid. We saw a kid drop into the sulfur liquid, he become a yellow man like you are immerse into a yellow paint pool. After half hour, I started cough due to this strong sulphur even tough i wearing the mask. Then we decided to leave there.

1500 - Went down back to the entrance. Then was the way riding back to Bandung. At half way descent from the mountain, we stop at a steel bridge which have been changed from rail purpose to local people riding motor use. This bridge look very nice to take photo.

1730 - Reach guesthouse and rest

1830 - Went to Paskal food market to find dinner. The food is quite expensive but can taste a variety of indonesian and western food.

I bought this box of strawberries for IDR 15k near the White Crater entrance. Actually you can buy cheaper when you go downhill. A box of strawberry is just IDR 5k!!

Dinner, Bola Ubi (Yam Ball) IDR 15k for 10

Batagor IDR 36. It is more expensive than the yesterday one.

Soto Ayam IDR 30k

Es Campur (Mixed Ice) IDR 18k, a local dessert with mixed of jelly and fruits.
