Philippines Day 10 : Boracay White Beach

1100 – Woke up at this time as we were so tired of the yesterday journey. But she still continued sleeping while I went out to find breakfast to eat.

After that, we walked towards the Talipapa Bukid Market which is 2 km away from our hostel. Walking along the route, the traffic jam all the way since today and tomorrow are the All Saints Day. Hence, there are a lot of tourist in these two days.

After reached the market, only a few clothes shop while there is a big wet market. Since she want to buy a slipper as she lost the slipper in Coron, she didn’t found any good one. Then we walked back towards the Dmall direction. We also went to the D’talipapa market where there is famous of the fresh seafood. In Dmall, this mall is a opened area mall that have many shops. There are clothes shop, restaurant and souvenir shop.

After shopped around and had simple lunch, she still can’t decide to buy a slipper. Hence, we decided to separate and walk the own way. Then I walked along the White beach. There are a lot of activities on the White beach such as water sport, sailing, sand building etc. The sand is so fine that like flour.
After I walked from Station 2 to Station 1, then I decided to go back take my swimsuit and have a swimming in the seawater. The water is very clear that can see some fishes. After swim for a while, it was raining and I felt cool. Then I decided go back and bathed.

After waiting her back, we went out for dinner but didn’t go any place as we wanted to plan for tomorrow and after the Boracay.

Philippines Day 9 : Coron – Ferry to San Jose – Van to Bulalacao – Ferry to Caticlan - Ferry To Boracay

0630 – Woke up in the early morning to go to buy the ticket at the Coron Port. (Tricycle only cost PHP10/person to go to Coron Port from town) There was a man sitting at the desk selling the Bunso Transport ticket. First, he asked me what is my nationality first. Then he said the ferry ticket cost for us is PHP900 while for Filipinos is PHP600. We had no choice and just bought the ticket. But there was a travel agent near this port selling at PHP800. However, we couldn’t recognize which shop and it is still early that the shop is still closed.
After scanned the backpack through the security check, we sat ad waited in the terminal. There is terminal fee of PHP20/person. In this terminal, there is free drinking water and Wifi. The Wifi password need to get from the terminal fee collector and the Wifi speed is quite fast too as not much people using.

0830 – Once the guard call to board to boat, many people rush to the door and the boat. Before get on the boat, there was another ticket checking. There was no queue and we needed to squeeze in to check the ticket. After boarded the boat, lucky that we got the last two seats together. The boat was full house that even have few people need to sit at the not proper seating place.

0900 – Boat departed. There were many people leaving from the seat and don’t know where they go. Hence, we can sit a wider place and even lying on the cushion and sleep.

1110 – Lunch meals were given that only rice with a fish! The fish is very bony too. After that, other than sleep, we can just watch the offline video and scenery along the journey.
Full house maybe next two days is public holiday (All Saint Day)

1400 – Reached the San Jose Port that is a proper port which boat can landed near the port. After went out from the port, there were so many tricycles’ drivers waiting there. I asked one to go to the Bus terminal, he offered me PHP20/person only which is cheap to us. Hence, we just took the tricycle. But he asked where we go and suggested us to the Van which is cheaper option. Then we just listened to his suggestion and rode to van terminal. After 10 minutes ride, we reached the van terminal. The cost for the van transport to the Bulalacao is PHP150 which is really cheaper than the Bus which cost PHP250. After got on the van, we had to wait for the van until fully loaded. The van was really fully loaded that three people seats were sit by four persons!

1530 – Van departed. Scenery along the road are paddy field, mountains and road under fixing hence the journey was quite bumpy.

1650 – Reached the Bulalacao Port. The FastCat counter is still closed and guard said it is only opened after 8pm. This Fastcat ferry is the only ferry to the Caticlan. So we had to sit in a restaurant and waited. We had dinner here too.

1930 – The counter was opened and we able to bought the premium economy class with student price that cost PHP352/person rather than the normal price of PHP440. After that we also paid the terminal fee which normal passengers cost PHP30/person and student passengers cost PHP24/person. Then we walked to the terminal building. This terminal looked very new and the toilet facility is very good.
2100 – Boarded the ferry. The premium economy class air condition is very cold and very modern. The premium economy seats are adjustable. Sitting in this ferry felt very comfortable and it was cheap compared to the boat that we took in the morning! Even there is food and drink selling inside the ferry. We had a good night sleep in this ferry while the journey to the Caticlan.

Next day

0200 – Reached the Caticlan port. After went out from the port, we went to the counter to buy the ticket to Boracay. There are few type of ferry which are Mabuhay, Pump Boat and Boracay Express. At that moment, we just saw that the Boracay Express is still opened and the lady at the counter said that the next ferry was another 30 minutes. Hence, we just bought it as we don’t want to stay in this port which don’t have place to sleep outside. There are student price for the Boracay express which is PHP60/oneway and normal price is PHP75/oneway. We bought the roundtrip which is PHP120/person. After paid for the terminal fee (PHP100/person) and environmental fee (PHP75/person), we can board the ferry. After ferry travelled for few minutes, we reached the Cagban port. Our booked hostal is very far from the town, hence we shared the tricycle with other two people with total of PHP200 for 4 persons. After reached the hostel, we quickly bathed and then sleep.ZZZZ

Philippines Day 8 : Coron Town - Mount Tapyas

1030 – Woke up late as I was still not feeling well yesterday and need more rest. We walked towards the port direction as we wanted to find the shop that sell cheap ferry ticket to San Jose. We couldn’t find the shop maybe today is Sunday and the shop is closed. So we asked the counter at the port terminal. The lady said that can only buy the ticket on the day and cost only PHP600. We were scared that time as if we cannot buy the ticket on the spot, we need to wait another two days. But we think that now is low season that can buy on the spot.

After that, we went to the L’escade Coron Harvest to visit the Cashew nut factory. However, there were not any cashew nut in production. We just saw that there were variety flavour of  cashew nut.
Then we walked towards to Coron center and saw a cheap fast food restaurant. We had the simple lunch here and rest here for 2 hours while watching the Philippines show.

1500 – We walked towards the Mt. Tapyas. After we climbed for 600 stairs, we rest at the hut for a while as the legs were quite tired when went up continuously. After we climbed for rest stair cases, we reached the top and the view is amazing. After took several photos, we were just sit there and wait for the sunset.

1800 – Climbed down back to the Coron center. We had searched the suitable restaurant that has good Wifi and good food in the afternoon. The restaurant that we went is Levine’s restaurant that is three storey building. We sit at the 2nd floor as the ladyboy said here have good Wifi although the 3rd floor is a view deck. We were at here for around 3 hours for having dinner and got online. The Wifi speed is quite fast.
