Indonesia Day 14 : Mount Sekunir - Kawah Sikidang - Candi Arjuna - Museum Kailrasa

0300 – Waked up in the early morning and departed to view the Sunrise at Mount Sekunir.
Riding in a very dark and cold condition, I was lucky that I had windbreaker to wear. But my hand become freeze and painful as I just wearing a very thin glove. At the half way, I saw there is a stall selling all the cold condition necessary wear. We straight away bought pairs of gloves as we cannot cope with this coldness.

0430 – Reached the basecamp of Mount Sekunir which entrance is IDR 10k/person. The climbing route is very clear but it was very dark. We had to use the headlamp to find the direction. After 30 minutes climb, we reached the top and saw the orange horizontal line on the sky and cloud below the mountains. Viewing the sunrise is amazing. It was very cold at the top as the altitude is about 2200m.

0700 – Descent to the basecamp and having few cup of hot teas and fried snack. Then we went to Kawah Sikidang (Sikidang Crater). The entrance fee was IDR 15k for both of us and this ticket is included the Candi Arjuna which is very worth. At this crater, the sulphur smell is very strong. So we faster take the photo and left the place.

0900 – Went to Candi Arjuna which is a very small candi. One of the candi was under reconstruction. After that, went to Museum Kailrasa which is free in this month. This museum is small but have a lot of simple information.

1200 – Went to a rumah makan (Eating house) for lunch. After ordered food, I was lying my head on the table as I was very tired. When the guy served the drink, the cup fall off on the table, I was lucky as only some juice splashing on me, not much. After wash away the juice, I told him to give me a free cariga as an apologize. The cariga was quite nice. After finished the lunch, I saw there was a mountain of cariga at the back of the shop. I think there were a lot of cariga in Dieng that they cannot consume and sell off and hence they preserve it.

1330 – No activities in the afternoon as we had visited the telaga warna yesterday. So we just finding any cheap cariga fruit to but we can’t find one or two cariga to buy. So we just find on the road side and pluck them. After reached homestay, we cut the cariga and eat, the taste was not that nice. I think the cariga must preserve so that it can eat nicely.

The cariga and terong belanda that we had plucked. Cannot be eaten maybe need to process or have not ripen yet.

At night, we ride to Wonosobo town to find dinner. There is a big foodcourt at the town center.

Nila Kremes IDR 18k. First time try eating this type of fish as lele had sold out. It is bony.
