金琦之旅 Amazing Voyage: Indonesia Day 1 - Flight Cancelled to Jakarta

0630 - Get on Transnational Bus at Melaka Sentral

0830 - Reached KLIA2 and found that our flight on 1pm was cancelled. Then we proceed to Air Asia service counter and was arranged to 3pm flight. The counter person just simply gave any seat but I have selected the seat online. Then I requested to give the seat I want. So we have another 2 hour extra to spend in the KLIA2.

1400 - After having lunch, we proceeded to the immigration and went to the departure hall.

1500 - Boarding flight. The boarding was delay.

1600 - Flying to Jakarta

1700 - Reached the Jakarta Airport. After get off plane, there is bus shuttle that you need to take to the immigration and luggage area. The terminal we arrived is quite old. We could only find one shop that is selling SIM card. It was 4GB 3G and 4GB 4G and cost IDR 250k. It was so expensive compared to what I found on website. We continue to find other phone shop but end up in Damri Bus Terminal and couldn't find other phone shop. We bought the ticket to gambir station (IDR 40k).

1800 - After wait for a period, finally our bus came as there is no bus time schedule. After leaving the terminal, we just saw other terminal is newer and better facilities but I think is quite far from the terminal we reached.

1900 - After reached Gambir Station, we try to find the transit. we asked the person in counter and end up in a big elevated steel cage with glass window and opened door. We asked futher, just know that Jakarta don't have MRT like transit, it is a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system or called Transjakarta. After we asked the counter person for direction to Kota Tua, we hardly to get into the bus as it was peak hour and we have 2 backpacks. You also need to take a big step to get on to the bus as the bus may not stop near the station. After changed stations for 2 times, finally we reach Kota Tua where I have booked my accommodation.

2000 - checked in, leave bag and went out to find dinner.

2100 - We walked to Taman Fatahillah where it is like a night market. This market is quite messy and even bus moving on the narrow street between the stalls. Since we're very hungry, just buy any fried food to eat first. I was shocked that he put the fried food in the bag that make from printed paper which is the papers that commonly use to fill the form and the paper behind will be written also. So the fried foods have that printed paper smell. I think this area is a poor area of Jakarta where I can see Jakarta have a lot of high end shopping malls as I seen during travelled from the airport.

2200 - Went back hostel rest.
