0900 – After having breakfast, we left ours big backpack at
the guesthouse and departed to Dieng which is a 3 hours journey. It was 50 km
flat road and 50 km hilly road. Riding on the hilly road was tough as I need to
cut the car or lorry since the lorry going uphill is very slow. When going
downhill, I keep braking as it is very steep and sharp turning.
1200 – Reached Wonosobo where the environment is cooler
since its altitude is around 1500m. We were having the Mie Ongklok which is
famous and unique in Wonosobo. After lunch, finding the homestay that we booked
was quite tough as the location given by the Google Map is wrong. After
communicating through Whatsapp, finally we got it.
Mie Ongklok (IDR 8k) with fried snack (IDR 1k each), usually eat with satay (IDR 11k for 5). |
1500 – After checked in and chat with the owner, we departed to Dieng. The view along this route is breathtaking as we’re viewing the paddy field, village and hill from the cliff of the mountain. Hence, riding along this road is very dangerous especially when going downhill.
The view is stunning! |
1600 – Reached Bukit Pandang (Viewpoint Hill) to view the Telaga Warna (Color Lake). The entrance is IDR 10k/person. We’re not visiting the Telaga Warna as the homestay owner said that the entrance is more expensive and the view near the lake is not as good as from the hill. After climbed for several minutes, we reached the top and the view is amazing.
View from the Bukit Pandang towards the Telage Warna |
1630 – We rode back early as it was getting dark soon and it’s
an hour journey.
Having dinner at another homestay, this owner had been to Malaysia, No wonder the dishes look familiar. Mie Siam IDR 10k |
Ayam Krimes IDR 20k. Very crunchy fried chicken even some small bone easy to be eated |
