Vietnam Day 16 : Bus from Mui Ne to HCMC - Ben Thanh Market - Ban Co Market

0715 - At the sinh tourist office, we were waiting the bus to come. When checked in, the lady said that the siting bus is changed to sleeping bus. After the bus come, we were shocked that the bus is the bouncy bus from Da Lat to Mui Ne. We got no choice. After bus departed, it was still bouncy! Then i straight away change to the front sit which is less bouncy. Then the bus driver stopped it to check but cant solved. After that, the bus stop at a workshop to change he tire and this is the good time to sleep. The bus become smooth and no bouncy after that. What are they doing for that one day time? They didnt check the bus tire?? However, this bus stop once for rest at a rest station which sell a lot of foods and fruit.
There is incense in front of the bus before departed. They hope the bus not bouncy again?

Sinh Tourist bus is quite old but the service is quite good.

1300 - Reached Sai Gon. Walked to the booked hotel at District 1. We booked the dorm in this hotel called Phuc Khanh Hotel. It is a double bed dorm but the bed size is a bit smaller than double bed size. The dorm room is a bit smaller as the floor is fully occupied by the backpacks.

1400 - Went out to find the lunch but had the lunch at the KFC since we were so hungry and could found this fast food only.
Left : Zinger burger with fries and drink, VND63k
Right : Rice with fried chicken, VND39k

1500 - Walked to the Ben Thanh market. This market sell variety of thing from clothes, foods, snacks, souvenirs etc. The souvenirs is cheaper than any other place of Vietnam that we visited. For example, a set of 10 key chains only cost VND67k while the one we bought is VND20k for one key chain at Hoi An!!

After that we were finding the money changer. Most of the blogs and forums said that the best exchanger near the Ben Thanh Market is the Ha Tam Jewelry. When we go there, there was people queuing to change the money. We got very good exchange rate for MYR which is VND/MYR = 5540.

After that, we went to another market called Cho Ban Co which took 20 minutes walking distance. When we reached there, most of the shops is already closed. We just found some snack and food to eat there.

Then walked back to our District 1. We passed through the Pham Ngu Lao street which is really lively. This street like the Khao San Road in Bangkok which has a lot of tour agency, souvenir shops, massage service, bar and restaurants. At there, we didn't go there to walk and feel the street as we were tired. We just booked our bus to Can Tho at Sinh Tourist again as no other company provide this service.
"Free delivery service" really special market service that can only be seen in Vietnam.
