Indochina Day 37 Luang Prabang : Kuang Si waterfall

After had the free breakfast at the hostel, we just walked around the town. While she was buying the postcard. I saw a tripadvisor thread about the motorbike scam in Luang Prabang. We planned not to rent the motorbike as the motorbike will likely to get stolen. We also didn't see much of the foreigners riding motorbike on the road in Luang Prabang compare to other places in Laos. In addition, the manual motorbike rental fee is expensive too, 100,000kip for 24 hours. Hence, we just wandered around the town to find the transport to go to the waterfall. We also planned to go at 1:30pm after having lunch.
Breakfast at the hostel

There is few stalls at the road side in the morning.

This motorbike rental is closed and selling their old bike. Seen like the motorbike rental business is heavily affected by the motorbike scam

Before the waterfall trip, we were shopped at the Dare Market. But this market doesn't sell much souvenirs and handicrafts things. Hence, we were there for awhile. There is also a supermarket nearby where the big lao beer cost only 9,000kip. After that, we walked to the Xieng Thong Noodle Soup to have the lunch. The noodle soup is really cheap. After finished the noodle soup, the stall is closed as the noodle soup is finished which is just 12:30pm.

After that, we went back to the junction near to the tourist information center to find the transport to waterfall. We unable to wait the person that offered us the 30,000kip/person. We just tried other transport. Some open 50,000kip/person and other offered as high as 300,000kip for a tuk-tuk. At last, we took the tuk-tuk that cost 50,000kip/person include the entrance fee. This guy has found a total of 9 people including us to the waterfall.

After 40 minutes (the driver drove very fast), we reached the waterfall. The driver brought us to the entrance and just told to get in to the waterfall park. After get in, we didn't see him is paying for the ticket. This waterfall ticket checking is so loss.
The entrance ticket counter and the driver (right). He just called us to get in to the waterfall area

Before getting to view the waterfall, there is bear rescue park which is free to watch. After that, we saw the blue waterfall. Going up further, there is even more beautiful waterfall to see. We didn't swim as the water is cold and just took a lot of photos.
