Indochina Day 23 : Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda - Russian Market

0900 - Today morning activity is to visit the main attraction of Phnom Penh which is the Royal Palace. The entrance fee is USD10/person. We wear pants that covered knees but still see some men wearing short pant. The only place that don't allow to took photography are the interior of Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Visitors cannot enter the Royal Palace. The Royal Palace is full of gold and the most important chair. While the Silver Pagoda allow to enter with taking off the shoes and hats. This Pagoda main attraction are the 90kg gold buddha statue and a Emerald Buddha. We visited there for 2 hours without having the guide. But we manages to know some of the thing from other group with guides. The gate closed at 11am and reopen for the next session are 2pm. We visited in the morning because the temperature is around 25-28 C. The weather in Phnom Penh get hotter in the afternoon.

1100 - We had lunch at the nearest KFC and rest there for awhile.

1400 - We took the public bus number 1 to the bus station near to the Russian Market. This market sell any kind of things from clothes, souvenir, machine, food and etc. I had the best coffee in this market too which cost me USD1.5. We shopped here for around 1+ hour as we bought the swimming suit and souvenir. Near to the dinner time, we had a juice while resting to search for the next destination. After that, we also had dinner here which many local enjoy their food here.

1900 - Took the bus no. 1 again to the bus station near to the Phnom Penh Night Market. This market has a lot of foreigner. Mainly selling food, clothes, belts, wallets, watches etc. Not many souvenir was found here.
