Philippines Day 22 : National Museum – Taxi to NAIA3

In the morning, we didn’t go anywhere but planning for our next destination which is Hong Kong. We didn’t get accepted by any couchsurfer and no booking any hotel yet. We read a review that booking the hotel in the Chung King Tower is bad that the booked guesthouse owner will give you cheaper other guesthouse to stay. Hence, we will find our accommodation by walk-in.

In the afternoon, after having lunch in the Robinsons Place Mall Food Court. We walked to the Rizal park but the park is closed. However, we managed to get in at one of the entrance. We visited the National Museum which the name of the building is National Museum of Anthopology. It is free admission and you need to deposit the backpack before entering the exhibition areas. The exhibitions are China ceramics, colonization by Spanish, tranditional art, basket and mat, rice etc. It is really worth a visit here!

After leaving the National Museum, we didn’t see any one in the Rizal Park. The guard of the national museum also told us that to exit at the nearest exit of the park. After walking through other entrance of the park. We only knew that it was closed for the Asean Summit.
Rizal Park was closed and there are many people outside.

The reason of the Rizal Park is closed

Back to the guesthouse, our laundry just done instead of noon time that she said yesterday. After did some homework for the Hong Kong, we had dinner at the McD.

There are few ways to go to the Manila Terminal 3 (NAIA3). The first option is taking the bus at the Robinsons Place Mall which cost PHP150/person. The bus is operated by UBE express and departed every 2 hours from the mall. But we decided to take the taxi by using Grab. The rate shown in the app is between PHP155-PHP255. We knew there is an additional toll rate if go to the airport by skyway. The total taxi fare from Robinsons Place Mall to NAIA 3 cost PHP247.5(Taxi fare PHP162.5+ Toll PHP35+Booking PHP50). This is way cheaper than two people taking the bus. We could get a cheaper fare if we can get the taxi at the Robinsons Place without using Grab as there is a booking fee of PHP50.

As usual to enter any building of Philippines, there is security check to enter the NAIA3. After print the boarding pass and arrange the weight of the backpack, we find the chair as sleeping place. It was four-connected cushion chair and there is no separation bar in between. Hence, it was nice to sleep by just lay down on the chairs.

In this airport, there are a lot of fast food like Jolibee, Mcd, KFC, Chowking etc. There are also convenience store like 7-11 and Ministop.

Expenses for two:
Breakfast : PHP100
Lunch : PHP218
Dinner : PHP194
Taxi : PHP247.5
Total : PHP759.5
