0700 – Woke up in the early morning
as we want to go to the Guimaras island for a day tour. After had the
breakfast, we walked to the main junction at the Jaro to wait for the jeepney.
But we don’t know which jeepney, so as a road side people, he said the Leganes
direction. After we got on, the driver said that this jeepney didn’t go to the
Ortis Whart. Then we dropped off at SM city which is not far from the boarding
place. We asked other people again. This time we got the correct jeepney to
Ortiz Wharf which is City Proper direction.
After reached the Ortiz Whaft, we
didn’t go to the port first. But we want to buy the 2Go ferry ticket to go to
the Manila. After walked to many 2Go travel in the Google maps around the Ortiz
area, we couldn’t find any 2Go signage. Hence we only left the 2Go in the
Robinsons Mall which is opened at 10am. Hence, we just sit and waited at the
entrance.

After the mall opened, we walked
around for few minutes and still cannot find the 2Go travel office. After we
asked the guard at the door, we just got it. This 2Go is in a travel agency.
Hence, it is not a 2Go branch. At the counter, we had to waited to be called to
proceed our 2Go booking. But we’re rush and keep asking when can we buy the
ticket. After they check out that 2Go tickets were fully booked and asked us to
go to the 2Go branch at the Fort San Pedro to check. Then we took the jeepney
to the terminal near the Fort San Pedro. The lady also said the tickets were
fully booked and cannot check any other time as don’t know what is offline. She
also told us to check in the afternoon may have some ticket which is cancelled.
Then we just decided to go to the
Guimaras Island first and come back to enquiry. We took the jeepney back to the
Ortiz Wharf. Paid the pumpboat for PHP14person. We reached the Jordan port of
Guimaras Island after boat travelled for 15 minutes. First,we didn’t hire any
tricycle. We went to the tourism office asked since we just wanted to go to San
Miguel. Then we knew that taking jeepney to the San Miguel only cost
PHP12/person while taking tricycle cost PHP120/trip.

After that we walked around the
town. First, we saw the museum but nothing inside. Then we proceed to the
Guimaras signage to take some photo. Then shopped the souvenir in the Guimaras
Trade Information center. Here have a lot of Mango related products.
After that, we walked further in
the town to find the market which sell a lot of Mango. But we couldn’t find
any. Hence, we took the jeepney back to the port direction since I saw there is
a mango stall at the road side when coming towards to the town direction. After
jeepney travelled for a while, we saw there are a lot mango stalls at the road
side near the Seaoil Gas station. Then we faster knock the steel bar with the
coin in the jeepney.

We had mango shake with just PHP20
for 300ml cup. There are only two stalls selling. Both of us tried both stall
and felt that the first stall at the Seaoil side is the best. We didn’t bought
any Mango related products. Then headed back to Iloilo City.

1600 – Reached back to the SM city
mall to find the 2Go travel office. After walked for half an hour in this big
mall, we found it. But the man said that the ticket were still fully booked. So
we had no choice. We sit down and found the alternative solution. The last
solution was taking the 24 hour bus back to the Manila.
Then we decided to take the jeepney
to Tagbak terminal to ask and confirm the bus. However, taking jeepnay around
6pm is so challenging that many people were waiting for the terminal direction.
Seem like today is Friday that many people are going to take bus go back
hometown. After waiting 30 minutes, we finally managed to get on a jeepney. At
Tagbak terminal, we finally felt relieve as there are bus to Manila but don’t
know how is the journey. We will see tomorrow.
