Indonesia Day 26 : Bali - Sekumpul Waterfall

We departed quite early today as we’re going to very far place which were Jatiluwah Rice Terrace and Sekumpul waterfall.

When we almost reached the Jatiluwah Rice Terrace with the location stated in Google Maps, I saw there was a counter at the road side. I just ignored it and pretended like a local riding towards inside. Then I passed it without getting calling by the counter. After that, I saw a signboard writing “check ticket”. Then I pretend again and passed it. We were so EXCITED that time.

After reached the location stated by Google Maps, we saw the rice terrace is more beautiful that the Tegallalang. We just took few photos without walking at the rice field.

After leaving the rice terrace, we continued the journey towards north. We stopped at the road side of the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan Bali to take some photos.

After rode on hilly road and the environment getting cooler, we finally reach the small road towards the waterfalls. After an hour riding on this small road, we saw a banner writing the parking and registration. We ignored it as we had read the review about this waterfall scam. I continued to ride to another small road which was going downhill. This road was getting narrower as I continued riding. There were a lot of parking place along this alley. This small alley is fit for motorbike going in and had to share the road with tourist that are walking towards waterfalls. We reached the end of the alley which had to park out scooter. I saw none of counter that had to paid for the ticket, then I continued walking downstair towards the waterfalls. At half way, I saw a small building that writing “Counter” but there was nobody inside and hence we continued going down.

There are two groups of waterfalls which are Grombong waterfall and Fiji waterfall. We walked towards the Fiji waterfalls first. There is a ticket counter which is a small hut. I don’t know what the counter told us and we just paid IDR 5k/person to get in. This waterfalls consist of 3 waterfalls which the view is breathtaking. After took many photos, we headed to Grombong waterfall. We were unsure of the direction. First we tried to walk upstair until I reached a pondok which give a very good view of Grombong waterfall. I think this is a wrong direction by looking at the Google Maps. If continued going upstair, it is going to the North entrance. Hence, we went downstair and found another small route just behind a stall. This waterfall is nearer to the intersection but need to take off the covered shoes as there is no bridge link a small river. This triple waterfalls view is amazing too.

We just stayed at the waterfall for a very short time because I wanted to go downhill before getting dark.
