Taiwan Day 7 宜蘭 Yilan & 羅東 Luo Dong : 幾米公園 Jimmy Park - 羅東鎮 Luodong Town - 羅東林業文化園區 Luodong Forestry Cultural Park - 羅東運動公園 Luodong Sport Park

Since staying in Yilan is so expensive after searching any website, we decided to extend one more day in Taipei and took a one day trip to Yilan & Lontong. These region is near to Taipei which take around one hour from the 台北捷運站 Taipei Bus Station.

Wake up in the early morning and got the bus to Yilan, TWD 137

After get out from the train station, we headed to this local famous breakfast stall.

Visited the Jimmy park, the park splits to three area. This is the first area where have a lot of souvenir stall.

Second area which have a lot of art works.

This is the destination? Or it is another starting point?

Third Area which have a cafe behind.

 Next station : Luodong Town

2nd time took the local train but still don't know how to differentiate with the express train and missed out the first local train and have to wait another 30 minutes.

After reached the town, try the famous noodle

Then this is the famous, red bean solstice stall

Walked to this stall and almost closed at 2.30 pm. We just can only take away.

米糕 TWD 35, I think is not like a snack, it can be a meal.

Next Station : Luodong Forestry Cultural Park. A park that have lot of museum that describe the old time of forestry near this town. Taiwanese really have good environmental awareness.

After the forestry park, there is a famous pork soup just outside the park. 肉羹面 TWD 45

Next Station : Luodong Sport Park. Walked 20 minutes from the forestry park.

Next Station : Luodong Night Market

In Luodong, there is free shuttle bus. We took from the Sport Park to the Night Market. Don't even need to tap the card.

Lastly, we order the 卜肉 (Fried pork meat) because it is unique in this place. TWD 60

LuoDong seem like is not a quite town.

Taiwan Day 6 北投 Beitou : 杨明山 YangMingShan - 地热谷 (Thermal Valley) - Hot Spring - Night Market

To get to YangMingShan, there are a lot of bus from 剑潭 JianTan Station. As we were going to the  擎天岗 QingTianGang, we took the 小15 (S15) which it is the last station.

Sit at the front most seat which is just beside the driver give me a good view.

Where is the grassland? Cant see anything as too foggy. So avoid rainy day go to the hill.

 Since nothing to see in YangMingShan, we decided to go downhill to the Beitou City.

 There are a lot of interesting place near the Beitou Garden like Ketagalan Culture Center, Plum Garden, Hot Spring Museum and Thermal Valley. All are free admission.

In Ketagalan Culture Center, different costume for the indigenous people in Taiwan. Free Admission. Near to the garden.

The Beitou Hot Spring Museum was closed until next year October.

Even tough is closed, the building is so unique.

Thermal Valley, Free Admission

This river just after Thermal Valley was opened for public to soak the legs inside. But it was restricted.

Hot Spring in Beitou Garden, TWD 40 per admission. There is the specific schedule for the session hour. Many local especially senior people.

Next station : Beitou Night Market, walked a few minutes from the Beitou garden.

This stall red tea is nice and cheap, small TWD 15, medium TWD 20, big TWD 25.

This pork ribs noodles is nice, small TWD 70, big TWD 80.
