New Zealand Road Trip Day 2 - To Tekapo : Riccarton Sunday Market, Fairlie Bakehouse, Mount John and Lake McGregory Camp Site

Woke up at 7:30am. We made the fried hasbrow and jam sandwish as breakfast.

Then depart to the Riccarton Market Christchurch. This market have foods stall, vege and fruit stalls and a lot second hand thing stall like machinery and gardening tool.

Then we shop the grocery at the Asian Market for our next few days meal ingredients.

Sunson Asian Market in Christchurch

Then we depart from the Christchurch at 11:30am to our lunch meal at Fairlie Bakehouse which take 2 around two hours. The route is quite hilly after the Geraldine.

At Fairlie Bakehouse, we ordered a Pork Belly Apple Pie and a Chocolate Laminton as lunch

After having the pie, we straight away depart to Mount John as we knew from Google that it is close at 4:30pm.

We reached Mount John around 3:30pm and we knew that the closing time is 5:30pm but she lost her phone. Hence we spent quite a lot of time to find it. After 45 minutes, we give up and enjoy the photoshooting at the Mount John first.

We went to other side of the mount to take photo as the cafe side has quite a lot of people.

At 5:30pm, we decided to find her phone at the camp site as we think that the Mount John will be close soon. The place to stay is the Lake McGregory campsite which cost $10 per person.  When we reached there, It don't have tap water but the manual pump for the water. There is no flush in the toilet also.

After setting up the tent and take out the air mattress, she was finding her phone for the whole car while I cooked instant noodle with vege and egg for the dinner. Since my cooking pot is not that big, I have to cook twice. After I have eat mine and cooked the second time, she still unable to find the phone in the car yet.

No table to cook, just sit on air mattress in tent.

Then we decided to sleep in the car as the temperature at night is quite cold. Hence, I packed my tent and put air mattress inside again. I don't know why I was so sleepy that night. Even tough the sky is clear that can see a lot of star, I am so sleepy that I straight away sleep. I thought that I will be wake up around wee hour. When i awake the sky become so cloudy that unable to see any star.
